AX4 Installation Guide

Prerequisite

  1. AX4 installer file folder Application folder (AOS Configuration)
  2. Crystal OCX
  3. MS SQL 2005 install file or higher.
  4. OS: Windows Server 2008R2 or higher.
  5. Domain Controller
  6. User admin permissions.
  7. Setup server to join domain and setup SQL2005.
  8. Login as domain admin user.
  9. .NET 3.5 on DB and APP server.

Installation Steps

Server Installation

Domain Controller Server.

  1. Add roles “Active Directory Domain Services”.
Add server role.
Add .net 3.5 role
Add active directory role.

  1. Promote new domain controller: Start > Run > “dcpromo” > OK

  1. Create a new domain in a new forest.
Restart

Setup SQL Server 2005

Install SQL Server.

Select x64-based operating systems
Install > Server components, tolls, Books, Online, and samples
Use a domain user account. Enter the domain user and password. Select services to start.
Select “Mixed Mode”. Enter “sa” logon password.
Collation Setting > Thai / Accent - sensitive > Next.
Run program (Install Visual Studio 2005).

Note: Enable TCP/IP (SQL Server Config > SQL Server Network Configuration > TCP/IP > Enable TCP/IP) to enable connection for app server.

Install AX4

  1. On the database server install (Set collation = TH).
      1. Database server.

After finish installation, the system will create a new database named "Dynamics". Open Microsoft SQL Server management Studio to check.

Note: SQL Server Config > Enable TCP/IP, SQL Server Network Config > TCP/IP > IP Address.

Select Custom installation.
Select “Connect to an existing SQL Server database”
Select server name “DEMO3” (Do not select production server).
Select database name to connect to (Dynamics).
  1. On Apps server install.
      1. File Server
      2. Object Server
      3. Client
      4. .NET Business Connector
      5. .Com
Select Custom Installation.

Note: Make sure for server "Dynamics" is running.

  1. Copy the AddOn folder to Drive C and share it for everyone on AppServer.
  2. Language > Regioun = Thai.
  3. Set Date&Time

Restore DB
