Lifecycle Controller: OS Deployment on Dell Server

Chetta Busayarat -

To deploy OS via Dell Lifecycle Control (All remote via iDrac).

  1. F10 on start to access "Lifecycle Controller".
  2. Enter "Advanced Hardware Configuration" to set pre set up like TPM and Secure boot.

  1. System BIOS > System Information > System Security.


4. TPM on.


5. Secure Boot: Enabled

  1. Set boot setting.

  1. Check the UEFI boot sequence.

  1. Done for pre-setup. Exit and back to Lifecycle controller page.

  1. OS Deployment > Deploy OS.

  1. Select "Go Directly to OS Deployment" (As we have already created a RAID before).

  1. Select an Operating System.

  1. Next.

  1. Installation Mode > Manual Install.

  1. Select OS Media > USB (We repaired USB Boot before).


15. Next > Yes.

  1. Review the config and click "Finish".

  1. System will reboot.

  1. Entering "Windows Server Setup".


  1. Disk 0 is the disk destination to install. Clear the partition and install on disk 0.

  1. Select disk 0 for the location to install Windows Server.

  1. Install.

  1. Finish.
