The RDP remote from Windows 11 Pro (24H2) connects to Windows Server 2012R2 STD. The problem is that the client keeps disconnecting from RDP randomly every 2-5 minutes. Event changes connecting from Wi-Fi to LAN or changing users still happen on this computer(Other computers same network working normally). If someone finds a situation like this. Please try the below.

The solution is to disable UDP and use only TCP for RDP connections.

  1. Start > Run > "gpedit.msc".
  1. Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services > Client connection to a remote desktop" (Remote Desktop Connection Client).
  1. Set to "Enable"
  1. Go to "Computer Configuration" > "Administrative Templates" > "Windows Components" > "Remote Desktop Services" > "Remote Desktop Session Host" > "Connections" > "Select RDP transport protocols"
  1. Set to "Enabled" and select transport type to "Use only TCP".
  1. Check connection status before and after.

Before.

And after.
