Set link aggregation on SYNOLOGY NAS and Dell switch (X1052) to improve bandwidth

Setup link aggregation on SYNOLOGY NAS with Dell network switch (X1052). To improve bandwidth.

  1. Log in to the Synology admin console, Control Panel > Network.

  1. Network Interface > Create > Bond

  1. Link Aggregation Mode = IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic Link Aggregation.

  1. Select the physical network for the bonding member.

  1. Network Setup. This example used manual configuration.

  1. Network Interface shows created Bond1.
  1. Set on the Switch side (Dell Network X1052).

  1. View All.

  1. Edit.

  1. Edit "LAG2".

  1. Description LAG.

  1. Edit to add "LAG Membership".

  1. Select LAG (Example slecte LAG2) to assigned port membership.

  1. Select LAG number (LAG2) and select port to LAG Membership (Example selected port 5-8). And save.

  1. Now link aggregation (LAG) on switch was created.
