SQL Server Management Studio 21 (21.0.1-21.1.3 ) is not supports SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
If your SQL Server Management Studio version is 21.0.1-21.1.3. You may experience about feature Import, Export and Copy DB menu is grayout.
And when you try to add feature by open Visual Studio Installer and try to install Business Intelligence workload for adding SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). It will not show SSIS on those version of SSMS.
This example using SSMS version 21.1.3. When try to add feature SSIS. It's not show on he selection. So just update SSMS to version newer than 21.2.5.
Founded this issue because need to use some feature on the SSMS "Tasks" > "Import, Export Data and Copy Database" menu gray out.
Recheck "Integration Services" is installed.
Check by open installation media (SQL Server disk or image file) and open "New SQL Server standalone installation..."
Installation type "Add features to an existing instance of SQL Server ..."
Check if "Integration Service" is installed.
Run "Visual Studio Installer" setup file.
Click "Modify".
This SSMS version is 21.1.3. "SSIS" not show on "Business intelligence".
Same with 21.0.1.
Back to Installed page and select "Update".
Updated to version 21.6.17. This step is request to restart the server.
If update button is not appear. Just download "Visual Studio Installer" latest version from web and click to install.
After install finish and upgrade to new version. Go to modify again.
The "SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS)" showing on the option. Click "Modify" to add this feature.
Downloading and installing.
All installation are up to date.
Open "SQL Server Management Studio".
Now the feature "Import Data", "Export Data" and "Copy Database" are showed.
For case don't need to update or install the newer version. You can use "DTSWizrd.exe" on this location.
